In La Haine there are many attitudes to poverty.   Throughout the film you see that it is set in the projects in the outskirts of Paris, this shows that the governments views of poverty is to put them all together and treat them like animals. One scene that shows this is when they news reporters start recording Vince, Hubert and Said in the park, it is shown in a low angle shot, this is done because it’s a point of view shot of the three characters, Vince, Said and Hubert and how they are shown in less power than the news reporter that’s why they’re higher up, often in safari’s you look down on the animals in the enclosures. The reporters look down on them and don’t come out the van, this shows that they treat it like a safari park, this is proven as Hubert later on says ‘Get out your car
